The YMCA of Austin Afterschool Program is offered at Blackshear Elementary and provides:
- Constructive balance of counselor led activities and free time for child exploration.
- Daily themed activities including arts and crafts, science/math, nutrition/wellness, character developments/assets and literacy.
- Daily CATCH physical activity lessons that meet the YMCA's commitment to Healthy Eating and Physical Activity Standards (HEPA).
